Review: LORAC Unzipped Palette

I've recently stopped by Sephora and while browsing around the store I stopped by the Lorac section and was immediately drawn to this palette. What stood out to me about the palette was how soft and beautiful the colours were. I swatched the colours and was surprised how pigmented the colours were! The palette comes with 10 shimmering and matte shadows and is the perfect neutrals palette.

I have been using this palette for a week now and am obsessed with it! I think I'm loving it more than my Urban Decay Naked palette's now! Besides the pigmentation of this palette, I love how thin the palette is,  making it easy to carry around and is perfect for travelling because of how light it is also.

The palette also came with a mini "Behind the Scenes Primer"

It also comes with a mirror.

Swatches coming soon!

The primer that comes with the palette is amazing, it does not crease at all!
I think I'm going to have to go out and purchase the full size now!

If you've tried out this palette already, let me know what your favourite eye shadow combo from this palette is or let me know what your favourite palette is! (:

Review: Etude House Collagen Moistfull Cream + First Essence

I purchased the Etude House Collagen Moistfull Cream Special Set from cosmetic-love.com. I have seen and heard about this line before and have heard great things about it so I decided to give it a try and also because the my skin has been very dry due to the cold weather here. The Collagen Cream comes in a small little jar with 60ml and the First Essence comes in a 20ml small bottle.

I have been using this for about a week and have definitely seen results right away. My skin has been really soft and smooth. I use this right before I go to bed so that when I wake up in the morning my skin will look not only refreshed but also smooth. According to Cosmetic-Love this is a "Moist and rich textured facial cream supplies complexion lift and hydration with moisture and collagen treatment".

The smell of the cream is a nice, soft, some sort of floral scent which is kind of hard to describe what it exactly smells like and the texture of it is between a lotion and gel. As for the First Essence, I would say that the smell is somewhat similar to the cream but smells a bit stronger and the texture of it is somewhat thick not runny like water.

[Review] Cosmetic-Love.com

So I have recently made my first purchase from Cosmetic-love.com. Cosmetic-Love.com is an online Korean cosmetics store. They carry brands such as Etude House, Tony Moly, Laneige, Missha, Skinfood, Innisfree etc. With having to have received my first order I am very impressed with their site from how well they packaged the items to how fast my order got to me. I have received my order in exactly 10 days from when I made my order. All items were wrapped individually with bubble wrap with an air pouch at the bottom of the box. Along with my order I had received quite a lot of samples.

Okay so cosmetic love was having a 10% off on bb creams on their site so I decided to stock up on the Missha perfect cover bb cream. I also picked up the Etude House Happy Essential Foam in Hyaluronic Acid and the Etude House Collagen Moistfull Cream's Special Set.

Samples that came with my order
If you're looking to try out some Korean Cosmetics definitely check out their website because the prices are reasonable and they offer Free Shipping Worldwide! When purchasing you also receive points so every time you make a purchase your points can accumulate and you can use your points on your next order.

helloberry bracelets

I have been obsessing over these bracelets lately and love every single colour that they come in! These "helloberry" bracelets are handmade by three friends here in Toronto, Canada. I started to obsess over these bracelets ever since I have noticed "ThatsHeart" on youtube rocking them and posting pictures of her arm candy on instagram. These bracelets are made of plastic lattice and are attached to a gold chain. The bracelet does come in many different colours, styles and sizes (bracelets are made at 20cm roughly 8inches, but bracelets can be customized according to sizes).

The bracelets that I decided to get are called the "Mini Smoothies" and the colours that I chose were "Oceanberry and Mocha". Each of these mini bracelets costs $14 CAD  and approximately $15 USD. However with the different types of bracelets that they have the prices range from $14-37 depending on which bracelet you chose and the colour. Shipping charges due apply and helloberry DOES ship EVERYWHERE. Since I live in Canada, the bracelets should normally arrive within 3-4 days but because of the amount of orders they had, shipping took a little over a week. Because these bracelets are all handmade shipping may take a bit longer due to the high volume in order but the wait is well worth it! Overall, I am definitely going to order more of these bracelets because they are so cute and are great to layer with different jewelry pieces!

Color Club Nail Polish Review

It's been such a long time since I have posted something! But I am definitely back and will start posting more reviews since I have just finished my finals. Lets start,

I have recently heard of this Color Club nail polish and decided to give this a try. The Color Club nail polishes are available in Canada and I purchased this duo from Winners for $8. From my knowledge, the duo polishes that I purchased is from their recent collection called "Blossoming". Now in this collection there are 6 polishes and they do come in a set but I was only able to find the duo. The colors are called "Blue-ming and Diamond Drops".
I was kind of skeptical to get these polishes because I was thinking that the color pay-off was going to be just horrible. Surprisingly, the color pay-off was great! it is very opaque and you could use just one coat if you wanted to. However, I find it hard to control because it is very runny and creamy. As for the glitter polish, "Diamond Drops" I would say that it is not the greatest glitter polish out there but for the price it works just fine. Overall, I would definitely purchase more of the Color Club nail polishes because for the price and the color pay-of it is well worth it.

[Review] Urban Decay Naked2 !

Hi guys! I'm sure many of you have heard or know that Urban Decay has recently released a second version of the naked palette. I myself have just gotten my hands on one. Since I live in Canada, I had to order it on Sephora.com, so for those wanting to get their hands on one check out Sephora.com. As for those who aren't able to order it online, I have heard that it will be available in stores at the end of January beginning of February so lookout for that. Okay, so comparing the naked to the naked2 the colours are pretty much the same or yet even similar. The packaging to the naked2 is like a hard plastic/metal casing that snaps the palette shut. In the naked2 instead of it coming with a mini potion primer, it actually comes with a lip junkie in the colour naked. I preferably do not like the lip junkie at all because it has somewhat of a minty scent to it. It would have been better it they included the mini potion primer. As for the brush that is included, it is a double-ended full size brush that is a shadow and crease brush.

I don't know why but I can't seem to flip this image around sorry guys!
Foxy doesn't quite show up on the camera. Colours are as follow:
Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, SnakeBite, Suspect,
 Pistol, Verve YDK, Busted, Blackout

with flash

My Thoughts:
Now I do own the first naked palette, I actually love the naked2 a bit more than the naked. There are pros and cons of each one. First being that I love the texture of the shadows in the naked2 because it feels very soft and silky not that the naked isn't. Although the naked and naked2 are similar in shades and colours, the naked2 is more naked (neutral) than the first. Overall, if you have already own the first palette and am not sure if you should purchase the naked2, I would say that you could probably skip it because you wont be missing out on thing special. However, if you don't have original palette, I would probably recommend getting the naked2 because I like how the shadows are more neutral than the first. Hope this helps you in making a decision on which palette to get !

New Year & Pond's Makeup Wipes

So it's the New Year and I know I haven't blogged in forever! so for this year I have decided that I will try to blog as much as I can, probably once or twice a week.

Okay, so I have been using these makeup wipes for 5 months now and am in love! Not only is it affordable but it smells fresh ! The wipes does remove most of your makeup but I do have to use a bit of liquid eye makeup remover to clean off all the makeup around the eyes. The makeup wipe contains 30 towelettes with vitamin E, chamomile and green tea. I purchased this at Walmart for $6 and it also comes with a bonus pack as well, so you are getting two for the price of one! With the bonus pack it should last you at least 2 months but it also depends on how often you wear makeup. So this is my review for the makeup wipes ! stay tuned for my next blog-post!
